ELECTRIC HOT WATER TANKS
Usually require a 240 VAC electrical service. Their advantage is more efficient energy transfer; however the cost that you pay as a homeowners is more dependent on the cost of your local utility. Our new model electric water heaters have more insulation and are designed for increased efficiency.
GAS HOT WATER TANKS
Gas water heaters operate on either natural gas, or propane gas. They are known for their quick recovery rate, which means how fast they are able to heat cold water to hot water. Some older Gas water heaters have standby losses, and are slightly less efficient due to the products of combustion being vented outside. Newly installed high efficient gas water heaters have less heat loss in the exhaust gasses, and have stopped using the wasteful standby pilot flame.
TANKLESS WATER HEATERS
Tankless Water Heaters, or sometimes known as Instantaneous Water Heaters come in two efficiencies. The first is condensing, or high efficiency and the second is non-condensing. These units provide endless hot water for homes with higher occupancy.
